How fast does it get?

I was writing a message in Lassen Purkki (in Finnish) - an old-fashioned BBS from the times when Internet was still grey - about these pictures where bullets have been frozen when they penetrate or come out of objects. Usually they have been poker cards, but two of the most famous are the bullet penetrating an apple and milk drop breaking down.

These pictures were originally taken by Harold Edgerton. Im memoriam, boys of MIT did it again. See the pictures from short summer course of 2003 from The Edgerton Center.
